Aatma Nirbhar Bharat - A Superpower in Making
While the nation was preparing for lockdown 4.0, our honourable PM announced the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and the complete support that the government would offer for the scheme. While the world is, together, trying to cope up with the pandemic, such programmes become the shining ray of hope for all.
'Jahan daal daal par sone ki chidiya karti hai basera, woh Bharat desh hai mera'. We can hear this melody in our minds, even today, with positive goosebumps telling us not to lose hope. What do these lines portray? They portray an India enriched with all resources. They tell us about the glory of a nation that displayed self-reliance most beautifully.
The idea of 'atma nirbharta' which means self-reliance was a part of our culture, always. And along with that power, our culture has taught us about the all-inclusive system of society. Reviving the best practices in our culture is a task of great responsibility. We are fortunate to witness and experience things changing for the better.
'Atma nirbhar Bharat' does not tell us to leave the world and take care only of our people. It is about adopting the usage of swadesi (home-grown/indigenous) goods & services as much as possible. The initiative is built with a purpose to make India powerful. So powerful that the world looks up to us for the best.
The security forces, which always pioneer good practices, have once again decided to set an example. The paramilitary canteens will sell only made in India products from 1 June 2020. Many others will increase Made In India products' selling & usage, and some others will Make in India, afresh & more.
The programme has more future benefits than we can anticipate. For now, concentrating on the present, we should participate in this in the best of our capacities. By being Vocal for Local, we, as a nation, plan to connect to the Global. 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam' (the world is one family) shall always be a shinning element of our eternal value system.
